This is an opportunity to work for a Global Pharmaceutical manufacturing business who have more than doubled in size in the past two years. From an EHS perspective there is so much potential here to lead the way with a brand new strategy that brings together the three sites in the UK.
This company needs someone who will take full ownership of EHS on site, assess where all three UK sites are at and work to bring them all up to the same standard. Someone who will work with their sites Globally to encourage information sharing, sharing of best practice and promote a proactive and engaging safety team.
You will be based from the largest site in the UK, at the headquarters in Oxford but you will travel to the sites in Cheshire occasionally. Your role will be a mixture of setting the strategy and being a hands on presence on site.
What you need to have:
• You must come from either a small scale pharmaceutical background, research and development, chemical or a biotech background.
• Qualification level, you will be Diploma level in Health and Safety ideally but certificate level will be considered, should you have a strong pharmaceutical background to back up your experience.
• You will be someone who is personable and approachable, flexible and can deal with the changing needs of the role and educate people on safety. Someone with a strong work ethic, who can stand their ground but will push back when needed.
For this you will receive a salary of between £50,000-60,000 per annum. If you are interested in the role but would need more from a salary perspective, my client may be open to a conversation. I would therefore welcome a call.
